Christina Schicker is physical therapist at Chickadee Physical Therapy in Brunswick, Maine.

Christina Schicker, DPT

Christina completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of New England in 2019. Her research about the effect of ankle manipulations on hip muscle function was published in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Interventions.

With specializations in vestibular and pelvic floor physical therapy, Christina aims to teach her patients how to use movement and lifestyle habits to improve their symptoms and quality of life. Her background in vestibular rehabilitation assists patients with vertigo, dysequilibrium, and concussions so they may work, exercise, and return to an elevated lifestyle.

Christina’s pelvic floor training helps patients alleviate pelvic pain, control incontinence and address other pelvic disorders. Pelvic floor training has expanded her ability to assist women through the changes and challenges associated with pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause.

Her philosophy of using movement as medicine empowers Christina’s patients to maintain an active lifestyle. A collegiate soccer athlete herself, Christina continues her lifelong passion for athletics through running, weightlifting, Nordic skiing, and yoga.
